JetBlue Strands Landscaping Company Employees In Bermuda

About 90 employees of a Valencia-based landscaping company got to spend a few extra days in Bermuda due to JetBlue Airways canceling flights, which cost the landscaping firm about $83,000 in added hotel costs and airfares, it was reported Tuesday.

Landscape Development Inc. workers and their spouses were told Wednesday that their flight home had been canceled, and that the next available flight was in six days.

"It wasn't an option for people to stay there," said Tim Myers, the firm's chief financial officer, told the Los Angeles Times. "They have children to take care of, they have obligations." .


Study Shows Exercise Helps Alzheimer's Patients

A French study shows a little exercise could help improve the quality of life for some Alzheimer's disease patients.

Researchers in France examined the effects of a moderate exercise program in nursing home residents with Alzheimer's. Those who exercised about an hour twice a week improved their walking speeds more than those who stuck with standard medical care.

The program included walking and strength, balance and flexibility training. .
